Housing. Spanish and Portuguese unions in contact for a possible "historic" Iberian strike

Unai Sordo, leader of the Spanish CCOO union, announced discussions with Portuguese unions for a potential joint strike on November 11, advocating for housing rights. This strike, named 'Saramago' in honor of the Portuguese writer, aims to address deteriorating living conditions. The strike coincides with the start of Spain's early election campaign, following the government's rejection of urgent housing measures. Other European countries, including France and Italy, are also planning strikes in November to protest against social discontent and declining living standards.
