Hackers disable cooling at dozens of Belgian Delhaize stores

Delhaize has confirmed that the cooling systems of several stores have been affected, with at least forty locations impacted in both Flanders and Wallonia. Reports indicate that temperatures in some cooling units may have risen to 70 degrees, although this has not been officially confirmed. This incident follows a similar cyberattack in France that caused cooling systems in hundreds of supermarkets to malfunction. Ahold Delhaize, the parent company of Delhaize, also experienced a cyber incident in October that disrupted multiple systems and affected supply chains, leading to temporary unavailability of online services and empty shelves.
