According to Ákos Hadházy, the former North Macedonian prime minister wanted by the authorities was photographed in a restaurant in Budapest.
Ákos Hadházy reported that Nikola Gruevski, the former North Macedonian Prime Minister, was spotted in a Budapest restaurant. Gruevski, sentenced to ten years for corruption and under international warrant, fled to Hungary in 2018, receiving political asylum. Hadházy urged the new Hungarian government to revoke his asylum to facilitate his return and the enforcement of his sentence. He highlighted Gruevski's connections to Hungarian officials and noted that his political allies remain in power in North Macedonia. Legal experts suggest that revoking asylum is possible if political persecution is not evident, but a new extradition request from North Macedonia is necessary for extradition.
