Hamilton won a qualifying session for the first time with Ferrari

Lewis Hamilton won the qualifying session for the Formula 1 Mexican Grand Prix, securing his first pole position of the year and the 105th of his career. He narrowly beat George Russell by nine thousandths of a second, with Charles Leclerc starting third. This marks Hamilton's first qualifying win in Mexico after a ten-year gap. Andrea Kimi Antonelli, who finished fifth, could clinch the championship if he finishes ninth or better, or if neither Russell nor Hamilton wins.
