The number of fatalities in the train accident in Spain has risen to sixty-four

The death toll from the train collision in Spain has risen to 84, with 80 injured, as reported by El País. The accident occurred near Urda when a Renfe train from Madrid to Seville collided with an Iryo train, causing three carriages to derail. Initial investigations suggest human error may have contributed to the crash, as the automatic signaling system had malfunctioned. Despite the halt of trains in the area, the Renfe train was allowed to proceed and crashed into the stationary Iryo train. Among the missing is former labor minister Fátima Báñez. This marks the second deadly train accident in Spain this year, following a January incident that claimed 46 lives.
