Bertalan Havasi: We expect the authorities to conduct the proceedings impartially, without political pressure.
Fidesz expects authorities to conduct investigations into the Hungarian National Bank's foundations impartially and without political pressure, following the arrest of former governor György Matolcsy. Communication chief Bertalan Havasi emphasized the need for clarity regarding the foundations' management and accountability. He reiterated that everyone is entitled to the presumption of innocence and a fair trial. Matolcsy was arrested in connection with economic fraud and misuse of private documents, alongside other individuals linked to the case. The Central Investigative Prosecutor's Office is conducting coordinated investigations related to significant financial misconduct.
