A lying contest is being held in Bosnia, but politicians have been excluded.

The 23rd annual Best Lies competition in Bosnia and Herzegovina invites anyone with creativity and persuasive skills, excluding politicians. Held in the Blidinje Nature Park, participants must tell the most convincing and entertaining fabricated stories to impress the jury. The event, first organized in 2003, aims to celebrate the art of lying among amateurs. The venue, Mijat Tomic Hajduk Republic, is a humorous symbolic state named after a legendary figure from 17th-century Hercegovina, representing resistance against Ottoman rule. Over the years, the competition has become a well-known humorous event in the region, engaging both judges and the audience.
