Hematology needs not only new therapies
Recent advancements in hematology have introduced targeted therapies and CAR-T treatments, improving patient outcomes. However, the Polish healthcare system struggles to keep pace with these innovations due to specialist shortages and funding issues. Experts emphasize the need for better organization and rapid diagnostics to enhance patient care. The National Hematology Network aims to optimize resources and standardize treatment across Poland, ensuring comprehensive care for hematological patients. Despite progress in drug availability, disparities in access remain a concern, highlighting the importance of coordinated care and effective funding strategies.
