Seven billion forints in fines were issued by the Budapest speed cameras in the first six months of the year

In the first half of the year, Budapest's speed cameras recorded over 157,000 speeding violations, resulting in fines totaling approximately 7.2 billion HUF. This marks a decrease compared to previous years, with 2025 seeing over 349,000 violations and fines of 18.4 billion HUF. The introduction of new speed cameras on the M1 motorway has also led to significant fines since their deployment in October.
