Hitler's 'Eagle's Nest' likely not to be saved after fire, suspect injured
A fire in Bavaria has severely damaged the historic 'Eagle's Nest', originally built by Hitler. Over 200 firefighters responded to the blaze, which is now extinguished but left the building largely destroyed. Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Hermann believes it will be rebuilt. A 33-year-old motorcyclist, found injured nearby, is suspected of starting the fire. The 'Eagle's Nest' served as a retreat for Nazi leaders and became a significant historical site after its capture by Allied forces during WWII.
