Hołownia calls on Nawrocki and Tusk to talk about the Constitutional Tribunal. "Poland is in your hands"
President Karol Nawrocki called urgent consultations with parliamentary forces following a takeover of the Constitutional Tribunal by judges. Szymon Hołownia expressed concern over the situation, criticizing the forceful approach to reforming the Tribunal. He emphasized the need for dialogue rather than conflict, warning that recent events could harm Poland's international image and security. Hołownia urged Nawrocki and Prime Minister Tusk to reach an agreement on resetting the Tribunal. The crisis escalated when Judge Anna Korwin-Piotrowska suspended the Tribunal's president, Bogdan Święczkowski, leading to a confrontation involving police. Nawrocki condemned the actions as a constitutional violation, while resignations from ambassadors followed in protest against the situation.
