There has been no heating in the building of the Kecskemét hospital for months, it is "only a matter of time" before the system shuts down in others as well.
Since August, one building of the Kecskemét hospital has been without central heating due to a broken heating pipe. Despite repeated notifications to the technical organization responsible for hospital maintenance, KEF, no permanent solution has been found. The hospital's director, Csaba Óváry, criticized the current system for being inadequate for daily issues. Although the malfunction was reported in August, a technician only arrived on October 14. Currently, temperatures in patient rooms fluctuate between 17-19 degrees Celsius, and operating rooms face similar conditions. The hospital has resorted to temporary solutions, including using oil radiators and special medical blankets to keep patients warm during surgeries. Óváry expressed frustration over the situation, indicating potential legal action against those responsible for inadequate conditions.
