Aid reaches occupied Ukrainian city of Oleshky, 'hundreds of people evacuated'

A humanitarian convoy has begun its mission to assist people trapped in Olesjky, Ukraine, delivering food and medical supplies while evacuating those wishing to leave. So far, 527 individuals have been evacuated, with the process ongoing. The convoy, consisting of around 25 vehicles, faced challenges such as mine clearance before entering the city. The area is under Russian occupation and has been cut off from essential supplies, leading to fears of famine. Ukrainian and Russian officials have stated that those who wish to leave will be given safe passage, while those remaining will receive necessary humanitarian aid. The ceasefire facilitating this operation was reportedly arranged with the help of Melania Trump.
