It took twenty-eight years to get home, now he could finally hug his mother

British adventurer Karl Bushby has completed his 50,000-kilometer journey from Chile to the UK, which began in 1998. He traveled without using any vehicles and faced numerous challenges, including financial struggles and limited family contact. Bushby gained sponsorships and is now working on a documentary with filmmaker Werner Herzog. Upon returning, he was welcomed by crowds in Hull and reunited with family, including his son and grandson. He expressed feelings of surrealism and confusion about returning to normal life after such a long adventure, highlighting the identity crisis he faces after living as an adventurer for half his life.
