Cool hospital rooms: There has been no central heating in part of the Kecskemét hospital for months
In Kecskemét, a broken heating pipe has caused temperatures in hospital wards to drop to 17-19 degrees Celsius. The hospital management is using oil radiators and patient warming devices to compensate for the heating loss. Despite continuous notifications, the responsible procurement authority has delayed repairs, with the first visit from their staff occurring only on October 14. The hospital's logistics head warned of a greater risk, as the main heating pump has been disassembled for months, and a malfunctioning replacement pipe is leaking water. If the second pump fails, the entire hospital's heating could be compromised.
