HVG: The police are investigating due to chamber real estate purchases
The Budapest Police are investigating the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry's real estate purchases due to suspected mismanagement. The chamber's president stated that the board unanimously approved the purchases, which have been scrutinized by an internal committee. The chamber has acquired several high-value properties, including a central headquarters for 4.2 billion HUF and an educational building for 8.5 million euros. Concerns were raised about the seller, TP Property Zrt., which acquired two properties shortly before selling them to the chamber. The police have initiated an investigation against unknown perpetrators for suspected mismanagement, but have not provided further details.
