A by-election will be held in Mohács after the Fidesz representative prefers to serve as a bishop.

The candidate nomination for the by-election in Mohács will start on November 3, following the resignation of Fidesz representative Zsolt Wébel in September. The collection of recommendations will take place from November 21 to December 7, with the election scheduled for January 10, 2027. Wébel, who is also the superintendent of the Baranya Reformed Diocese, cited increased responsibilities as the reason for his resignation, stating he could not dedicate sufficient time to his representative duties. He plans to continue his ecclesiastical role amid upcoming church elections. A previous by-election occurred in 2026 in the same district after another representative resigned.
