A NAV conducted a raid on a criminal organization involved in the illegal procurement of ventilators and masks during the pandemic. The group allegedly evaded taxes on profits from a government contract worth 15.6 billion HUF. Twelve individuals were detained, with three arrested, including one in Austria. The organization created a network of shell companies to issue false invoices, resulting in a tax loss of over 660 million HUF. Authorities seized assets worth 1.5 billion HUF during the operation. Prime Minister Péter Magyar commented on the connection to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The raid revealed luxury cars and firearms at the suspect's residence.
