This is how the Ottoman Empire fell

The Ottoman Empire, once a major superpower, officially ended on October 29, 1923. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk laid the foundations of modern Turkey on its ruins. The empire, known in Hungary primarily for its role in the Battle of Mohács, had diminished significantly by the early 20th century. Following World War I, the Treaty of Sèvres severely limited Turkey's territory, leading to economic crises and internal strife. Nationalist movements emerged, led by Atatürk, who rallied forces to overthrow the existing government and reclaim Turkish lands. By 1923, a new treaty was signed, granting Turkey more territory, and Atatürk declared the Republic of Turkey, becoming its first president and earning the title "Father of the Turks."
