Private island in the Aveiro lagoon goes back to auction for 690 thousand euros, 60 thousand less than before
The Ilha dos Puxadoiros in Aveiro is up for auction again at 690,000 euros, reduced from 750,000 euros. The first auction in September received a bid of 615,000 euros, which was rejected. The island, covering 37 hectares, has been developed for oyster production and other activities by a group of investors. Due to the original owners' inability to manage the property from Lisbon, they decided to sell. The auction, managed online, highlights the island's potential for aquaculture, tourism, and sustainable projects. Bids start at 450,000 euros and the auction ends on November 18.
