Iliana Jotova, the current acting president, won the presidential election in Bulgaria

Iliana Jotova won the presidential election in Bulgaria, becoming the country's first elected female president. After processing 99.95% of the votes, Jotova and her running mate Kiril Vilcsev received 57.58% of the votes, while their opponents garnered 39.47%. Jotova, who was previously the vice president, became acting president in January after Rumen Radev resigned to run in parliamentary elections. Radev endorsed Jotova, and both advocate for a diplomatic resolution to the Ukraine war, which some analysts interpret as a pro-Kremlin stance.
