Illegal squatters have moved to Rákosrendező, the XIII district has demolished the buildings to the ground

Illegal squatters have moved into Rákosrendező, causing significant security issues, including theft and drug dealing. The XIII District Municipality has taken it upon itself to demolish the buildings, despite lacking jurisdiction, as the area belongs to the XIV District and is owned by the BKM and the Hungarian State. The municipality financed the demolition through a public procurement process and has signed the handover documentation, returning the area to BKM and MÁV. The XIII District is now awaiting BKM to start removing the demolition debris to prevent illegal dumping.
