"The sooner, the better. The state must act." Przymusiński on the situation in the Constitutional Tribunal

On Friday evening, the Constitutional Tribunal announced a break in the duties of President Bogdan Święczkowski and Vice President Bartłomiej Sochański. Anna Korwin-Piotrowska, the longest-serving judge, will temporarily lead the Tribunal. This situation arises amid concerns about the Tribunal's budget and pending immunity requests against Święczkowski and Sochański. The legality of these decisions has been questioned, with some politicians labeling them as a coup. Przymusiński from the Iustitia Association emphasized that while Święczkowski remains president, he cannot currently lead due to suspension. He criticized President Karol Nawrocki for not resolving the ongoing dispute by swearing in properly elected judges, which could have prevented the current turmoil.
