In Italy, 285,000 websites at risk: anyone can take control of them
Over 285,000 Italian websites are at risk of cyberattacks due to serious vulnerabilities in PHP software. The National Cybersecurity Agency warns that hackers could exploit these flaws to access systems without credentials, steal user data, or disrupt services. Despite available updates, over 80% of the checked sites have not installed them. A third vulnerability has also been discovered, lacking a fix. The Agency recommends immediate updates, disabling vulnerable services if necessary, and checking for prior compromises. Only 62,981 out of 348,130 verified sites are updated, highlighting a critical situation.
