In ping pong dei voli, Milano-Catania? Conviene con scalo a Valencia e Tirana

The rising airfare costs during holidays in Italy have led to a trend called "sky ping pong," where passengers opt for connecting flights or secondary airports to save money. According to RimborsoAlVolo, travelers can save 30-40% on tickets by choosing flights with layovers, with some savings exceeding 60%. For instance, a flight from Milan to Catania can drop from €342 to €157 with a stop in Valencia and Tirana. Similar savings are noted for other routes, with significant reductions when using national layovers. This practice is increasingly common among young people and students, although it carries risks of delays and cancellations, warns RimborsoAlVolo's CEO, Giuseppe Conversano.
