Fires. Leiria approves tender to purchase vehicles

The Intermunicipal Community of Leiria approved a public tender for six firefighting vehicles for local fire brigades. This follows the delivery of six vehicles in the first phase, with plans for four more next year. The investment totals 1.5 million euros, emphasizing the importance of supporting firefighters with equipment and training. Additionally, the CIM will replace roofs at GNR posts due to storm damage, costing 875,000 euros. A new Contact Point in Brussels was also established to enhance regional representation and access to EU funding opportunities.
