Investigation reconstruction, among those arrested is the former chief of staff of Acquaroli

An investigation into public contracts for post-earthquake reconstruction has led to the arrest of eight individuals, including Fabio Pistarelli, former chief of staff to Marche's president Francesco Acquaroli. Pistarelli faces corruption charges related to contract assignments. The operation, conducted by the Financial Police of Ancona, has resulted in 51 individuals being investigated and assets worth over 57 million euros being seized. The inquiry reveals a network of illicit activities involving public contracts for reconstruction following the 2016 earthquake, with allegations of organized crime infiltration and aggravated fraud. Numerous searches were carried out across various Italian provinces.
