Compensated with 219,723 euros the family of a 24-year-old woman who died after going to the hospital three times: she was diagnosed with gastroenteritis and died from a cerebral venous thrombosis

The Cantabrian Health Service has awarded €219,723.74 to the family of a 24-year-old woman who died due to a delayed diagnosis of cerebral venous thrombosis. Despite multiple visits to healthcare facilities with severe symptoms, appropriate diagnostic tests were not conducted. The family claimed that the inadequate medical attention contributed to the delay in treatment, leading to her death. The health service acknowledged the claim, stating that the care provided did not meet clinical standards and protocols. The compensation includes amounts for both parents and the sister of the deceased.
