Infarmed calls for reporting adverse reactions

Infarmed has launched a campaign to raise awareness about reporting suspected adverse drug reactions, coinciding with the international #MedSafetyWeek. This year's campaign involves over 130 organizations from more than 120 countries, emphasizing the importance of identifying and notifying potential adverse reactions. The authority highlights that while some reactions are easily identifiable, others may not show evident symptoms. Citizens are encouraged to consult medication leaflets and report any suspected reactions, regardless of certainty about the cause. The initiative aims to enhance pharmacovigilance and improve medication safety, with a notable increase in reported cases from the previous year.
