Inflation fell in October. The minister indicated the reason

In October, Poland's CPI inflation dropped to 3.5% year-on-year, down from 4.1% in September, influenced by fuel price reductions. Finance Minister Andrzej Domański highlighted the impact of the CPN package, which was initiated on October 3 to temporarily lower fuel taxes. This package aims to support fuel prices until the end of 2026, with an estimated cost of around 5 billion PLN. The CPN mechanism has been previously used to curb fuel price increases, with earlier versions implemented in response to rising oil prices due to geopolitical tensions.
