The hungary.hu website was shut down for 48 hours due to an IT security risk.
The Hungarian government temporarily suspended the magyarorszag.hu website and other government sites due to an international cybersecurity risk. Minister Zoltán Tanács announced that the decision was made as a precaution against the PHP2Shell vulnerability, although no signs of a cyberattack were found. The site will be unavailable for approximately 48 hours while security issues are addressed. International cybersecurity experts identified two critical vulnerabilities in the PHP programming language, affecting various government systems in countries like the Netherlands and France. The National Cybersecurity Institute issued a critical alert and recommended immediate security updates. Tanács urged businesses to check their websites for vulnerabilities and implement necessary fixes, noting that these issues may have existed for over a decade.
