"There is no other way." The Prime Minister spoke out regarding the Constitutional Tribunal
Prime Minister Tusk emphasized the necessity of restoring the rule of law in Poland, describing it as a challenging process after years of lawlessness. Protests occurred outside the Constitutional Tribunal in Warsaw, involving right-wing opposition politicians and police presence. The Tribunal announced a break in the duties of its president and vice-president, while Anna Korwin-Piotrowska was suggested to lead the Tribunal. However, the Tribunal's official account claimed that the president and vice-president remain in their positions and accused others of committing a coup. President Karol Nawrocki interrupted his trip to Senegal to return to Poland amid the situation. Additionally, General Prosecutor Waldemar Żurek submitted five requests to lift the immunity of the Tribunal's officials.
