Inspection warns: France recalls used condoms
Consumers in the Netherlands are advised not to use certain recalled condoms from France due to safety concerns. The Dutch Health and Youth Inspectorate (IGJ) reported that these condoms can easily tear. Seven million condoms were recalled in the EU, with some brands available in the Netherlands, primarily online. The affected brands include Vitalis, Releaf, and others. Although no complaints have been reported in the Netherlands, the IGJ is warning consumers and monitoring the situation. The condoms were produced by Richter Rubber Technology, which has faced issues with thickness and quality, leading to safety violations. Users are advised to get tested for STIs and pregnancy if necessary. This is not the first recall, as previous incidents involved 300,000 condoms that also failed safety standards.
