Artificial intelligence: the presumption of use of cultural content examined by the National Assembly
Cultural representatives are advocating for a law proposed by Senator Laure Darcos that would change the burden of proof regarding the use of cultural content by AI providers. This law aims to protect creators from having their works used without consent, shifting the responsibility to AI providers to prove that they did not use the creators' works. The bill was unanimously adopted by the Senate and is now being pushed for adoption before the parliamentary session ends. Despite previous setbacks in the Assembly, it has been reintroduced with a compromise amendment that may gain support from the presidential bloc.
