Severe Weather: Pas-de-Calais placed on orange alert for rain-flooding on Saturday evening

Météo-France has issued an orange alert for rain and flooding in Pas-de-Calais due to the Boelo disturbance following storm Austen. The alert will be active from 9 PM Saturday until 4 AM Sunday, with heavy rainfall expected. Rainfall totals are projected to reach 30 to 50 millimeters, compounding the effects of previous rainfall from storm Austen. Over 240,000 households were without electricity in western and northern France due to the storm's impact.
