Investment in savings certificates rises 16% in September to a new high
The investment in savings certificates rose by 16.3% in September, reaching a historic high of €45.391 billion. This marks the 24th consecutive month of growth. Despite a decline in treasury certificates, which fell to €6.331 billion, savings certificates have regained investor interest. The government announced new treasury certificates in July, but monthly flows remain negative. The interest rates for these certificates vary, peaking at 3.35% in the tenth year. Additionally, the state's direct debt decreased by 1.3% year-on-year, while treasury bonds saw a decline and treasury bills increased.
