IP starts works on the EN2 in Abrantes

Stabilization works on the EN2 slope in Abrantes have begun, with an investment of €1.27 million, expected to finish by January 2027. The project aims to enhance slope stability and improve road safety through high-resistance networks and drainage systems. The work follows landslides caused by severe weather earlier this year, which temporarily closed the road. Traffic will remain regulated by traffic lights during the 90-day construction period. Additional stabilization projects are planned for the area, including near the Tejo bridge and on EN118.
