Compass Institute: Fidesz has already lost the pensioners as well

Since the elections, Fidesz's popularity has declined significantly, especially among seniors, where Tisza Party now leads by double digits. In the 65+ age group, 42% would vote for Tisza, compared to 30% for Fidesz. The Tisza Party's advantage is even greater among younger voters, with 67% support from those aged 18-29. Fidesz has also lost ground in rural areas, trailing by 16 percentage points. In small towns, Tisza leads similarly, while in county cities, the margin is 56-19. Fidesz only leads among those with an 8th-grade education, with 37% to Tisza's 36%. The data comes from Iránytű Institute's nationwide surveys conducted in late 2026, with a sample size of 3000.
