Istat: in September, the unemployment rate remains at 6.3%

In September, Italy's unemployment rate remained steady at 6.3%, with youth unemployment decreasing to 19.9%. The number of employed individuals was stable at 24.3 million, reflecting a balance between increases in temporary employment and decreases in permanent positions. The inactive population remained unchanged at 32.7%, while job seekers rose by 0.3%. Compared to September 2025, job seekers increased by 7.8%, and the inactive population decreased by 2.4%. Overall, the employment rate showed a slight annual increase of 0.4 points.
