Italian archaeologists discover links to tomb of Jesus underneath Jerusalem's Church of the Holy Sepulchre

Italian researchers have uncovered a burial ground beneath Jerusalem's Church of the Holy Sepulchre, aligning with biblical accounts of Jesus' burial. The site, significant to Christians, has undergone restoration since 2016, revealing ancient tombs, a garden, and agricultural plots. Archaeologist Francesca Romana Stasolla interprets these findings as evidence of a burial landscape consistent with Gospel descriptions. However, there is no definitive proof that Jesus was buried there, as no inscriptions or conclusive dating of plant remains exist. The discoveries do support the site's historical and geographical relevance to the New Testament narratives.
