Israeli election: Netanyahu and the opposition both feel victorious
The counting of Israeli election results is nearing completion, revealing no clear government direction for the coming years. Netanyahu's six-party bloc holds 53 mandates, while the opposition led by Gadi Eisenkot has 48, and the two-party Arab bloc has 19. The Likud party, led by Netanyahu, is currently the most popular with 26 seats. A coalition between Eisenkot's bloc and the Arab parties could potentially form a government with 67 mandates, though this seems unlikely. Calls for investigations into the Arab parties' funding have emerged from right-wing politicians. Despite no clear winner, Viktor Orbán has congratulated Netanyahu, referring to him as a "friend."
