"JAD Mobile 9". 60 vehicles seized in European inspection against car crime

The PSP seized over 60 vehicles during the European operation "JAD Mobile 9," aimed at combating automotive crime. The operation, which took place from September 28 to October 9, revealed instances of fraud, including the use of false license plates and altered vehicle identification numbers. In Portugal, 15 vehicles with international links were identified, along with five counterfeit driving licenses. The operation involved significant police mobilization and international cooperation, supported by Europol, INTERPOL, and FRONTEX. Across Europe, over 700 vehicles were seized, highlighting the importance of international police collaboration in tackling mobility-related crime.
