Japan with a trade deficit of 3.02 billion in September

Japan recorded a trade deficit of 536.5 billion yen in September, marking the fifth consecutive month in the red due to rising oil prices. The deficit nearly doubled compared to the same month in 2025. Exports increased by 16.7%, driven by mineral fuels and semiconductors, while imports rose by 18.9%, largely due to higher oil purchases. Japan's trade with China showed a significant deficit, while it maintained a surplus with the United States and a deficit with the European Union and Brazil.
