Playing with Chance – Humorous, Ironic and Surprising Works at the Special Exhibition of the Vízivárosi Gallery

In April, a lottery was held at the Vízivárosi Gallery, where ten artists were invited to create text-based artworks using randomly assigned tools. The curator, Balázs Fodor, aimed to explore the role of text in contemporary art, reflecting on the decline of reading in favor of visual media. The exhibition showcases diverse works that challenge traditional boundaries, with each artist interpreting their assigned medium creatively. The project highlights the importance of text in communication and artistic expression, inviting a playful yet critical dialogue about the future of written language in a visually dominated culture.
