One quarter of a full-time job instead of half. Exceptions in the healthcare reform package
The Polish Senate will discuss a healthcare reform package from October 4 to 6, which includes changes to the public healthcare financing law. During the XXII Forum of the Health Market, it was revealed that exceptions to the rule requiring healthcare professionals to work at least half-time will be allowed. These exceptions apply when contracts with the National Health Fund (NFZ) specify fewer working hours. Certain specialties, such as geriatrics, psychiatry, and pathology, are exempt from this requirement. Senator Wojciech Konieczny plans to propose an amendment to reduce the minimum work requirement from half-time to a quarter-time, arguing it would simplify staffing issues.
