Johan from Kruishoutem honors deceased daughter with poems on grave
Johan Vanderhaegen honors his late daughter Linde by placing a metal box with 20 poems on her grave in Kruishoutem. Linde passed away nearly 20 years ago due to a hospital-acquired infection after being hospitalized for acute leukemia. Johan wrote the poems during his grieving process and decided to share them publicly to keep Linde's memory alive. Each month, he changes the visible poem, allowing visitors to engage with her story. The initiative has received positive feedback from passersby, and Johan hopes it helps others cope with their own losses.
