The most spectacular meteor shower of autumn is coming, we show you when the Taurids arrive

The most spectacular meteor showers of autumn can be observed in the first two weeks of November, particularly the Taurids, which are slow meteors originating from the constellation Taurus. Observers can expect to see 5-6 meteors per hour, with fireballs being more common. The ideal observation time is around 00:15 when the radiant point is at 58 degrees. The moonlight will not interfere significantly, as the crescent moon rises shortly before dawn. The Southern Taurids have their radiant near the star Tauri, but meteors can be seen anywhere in the sky. Another meteor shower, with a radiant near the Pleiades, will also provide similar viewing opportunities from October 20 to December 10, with ideal observation conditions around 00:15 when the radiant is at 65 degrees.
