Young people detained for violent assaults are released

Three young individuals were detained for violently assaulting a citizen who reprimanded them for noise in Porto. They were released after a judicial hearing, with conditions including weekly check-ins and no contact with the victim. The incident, which occurred in August 2025, involved the suspects attacking the victim with punches, kicks, and a knife, resulting in serious injuries that required urgent medical attention. The investigation began after the victim confronted a group of about ten youths for their disruptive behavior. Additionally, two other youths were arrested for illegal possession of weapons and drug trafficking, linked to the same violent incident.
