Young people need "space in decision-making places"

The Próxima Geração association emphasizes the need for youth representation in decision-making spaces to ensure their voices are heard. President Fabiana Fernandes highlighted the importance of youth participation in protests and political bodies, advocating for their inclusion in parliamentary groups and municipal assemblies. She noted that recent protests reflect critical issues for the future and called for peaceful demonstrations. The association has launched a civic leadership training program for youth aged 16 to 30, aiming to enhance their understanding of state institutions and encourage active societal participation. Applications for the program are open until November 9, 2026.
