Young people are the main beneficiaries of allocated housing

Young Azoreans are the main beneficiaries of housing built under the Recovery and Resilience Plan, with 72% of the 241 homes allocated to individuals and families under 35. This initiative aims to provide affordable housing solutions amidst rising property prices and banking requirements. The rental prices are significantly lower than market rates, encouraging young families to achieve homeownership. The program also includes support for single-parent households and individuals with disabilities. Since 2021, over 138 million euros have been invested in housing solutions for young people and families in the Azores.
